We are sad to report that the Day use in Hendy Woods State Park is currently closed due to flooding and with more rain in the forecast we must cancel the invasive species removal set for this Saturday, March 18th.
Fingers crossed for the next one - Saturday April 22nd - we will keep you posted!

Invasive Plant Removal - Volunteers Needed!
Saturday morning 10 am to 12 pm
Hendy Woods State Park
Please join us in restoring natural habitats by removing invasive plant species (mainly poison hemlock, Broom and Dock). Take local action and be rewarded with FREE entry to the park.

Meet at the Day Use Area of Hendy Woods State Park
Dress in layers, bring gardening gloves with rubber palms, shovel & a picnic lunch. Some gloves and tools will be provided.
Ask us about other volunteer opportunities in the park, like leading forest walks or volunteering in the Park Visitor Center. [email protected]
